Touch of Italy Restaurant in New Smyrna Beach

I went to this restaurant for the first time. The pizza sauce was good, but that’s about it. The spaghetti sauce was so watery. For being an Italian restaurant, the sauce should be golden. The meatballs had no flavor at all. The waitress was awesome. I will never return here again.

We ordered garlic knots, chicken parmesan, pizza and chicken franchise to go. The best part of the meal was the garlic knots after we fished them out from the 2 inches of oil they were submerged in. The pizza and the chicken parm were mediocre. The chicken cutlet was thick and fresh, but the sauce was not flavorful and a bit runny for my taste. The chicken franchise was awful; do not order it unless you want to punish yourself. The chicken cutlet was covered in a very thick egg layer. Generally all you tasted was egg and the sauce was so greasy, that when it cooled down it was just a layer of lard. We are from out of town and have only ordered from them once so there is a chance the food is better other nights, but we will not be ordering from them again during our vacation.

The food was all tasteless. The pizzas were both burned on the bottom. The pasta was cold and gross. The calzone tasteless. The bread was doughy in the middle. The staff were nice but only gave us 2 Menu’s for 8 people. It was really the worst “italian food” we have ever had. I wish I hadn’t wasted my money. Also left hungry because I couldn’t stand to eat it.

The best restaurant my wife and I ever want to in New Smyrna Beach FL. Great price, Great owner, staff and people are so friendly. We recommend everyone to come to this place 😁😉😊. We had a great night and delicious food.

Got my favorite bake ziti with extra cheese and sauce of course it was dry no extra sauce. Salad had alot of brown was the worse I ever had

The food is pretty good and the decor is quaint, but the music makes me feel old, and I am anything but old. The server left a charge off my bill and handed me the receipt only to deliver me an updated one a moment later, claiming she forgot to add something to the bill. Overall it's a nice experience but the music put me off to returning here.

I cannot recommend this place. While our server was friendly, the food was not good. The pizza was probably the worst I've ever had in my life. My young children wouldn't eat it. The cheese had a bizarre texture and it was visually unappealing. It was like 2 different cheeses were on the pizza because it wasn't melted with the same consistency. Was some of it frozen or old? I have no idea. I've never seen cheese melt like that on a pizza and I've worked in true pizza restaurants. It literally looked like it was chewed up, then placed on the pizza to melt. It was crumbly.The crust was also weird- flaky on the bottom and burnt as well. The crust tasted terrible. The Alfredo sauce was good, but the pasta-to-sauce ratio was off. The pasta was swimming in the sauce. I say this with kindness and I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I feel future patrons should be aware of this place.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant as best Italian in the area. Food was excellent and there was plenty of it. Having Sal, the owner, stop and talk to us makes this a special place. I highly recommend it. We will be back

Pretty decent restaurant that delivered good food with moderate service, can see myself going back when I’m back in NSB.

This is best Italian food! Whether it’s served in restaurant or Delivered, the food is always good. Salads are fresh, dinners are always plentiful. I don’t know who that teacher was that gave a bad review but they weren’t getting food from Touch of Italy... must have been home cooking 🙈

Horrible!!! Took over 2 hours to be delivered! Had to call back 2x to finally get a manager on the phone--when pizza actually did arrive wasn't even cut in to slices!!! As well as, being cold it was the most horrible tasting pizza I have ever had. Would give negative stars if it was an option!

The food was Ok, but they have lost a bit of the quality they used to have, for one thing the pizza that I got last time was far too doughy, and the sausage they used was too sweet, granted I have not had a chance to sample the rest of the menu for a long time, but I think that since the pizza is one of their best products they should focus on making it taste a bit better, I just hope next time I go that the food will be as good as I remember it being in the past

Good Italian food and service

The homemade chicken soup and bread were both delicious, but I was very disappointed in the spaghetti with meat sauce, which seemed watery and had not much flavor. We returned another evening for garlic knots and pizza which were both quite good. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. We will be back.

Was not impressed with my takeout order. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't awful, but it wasn't anything special either. The pizza was incredibly greasy, had to blot the top with a paper towel. Staff wasn't too friendly either. Not disappointed with the money spent here, but will not be a repeat customer.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I honestly would. Hands down the best Italian ever. Heather was an amazing waitress and makes the best sweet tea around. Sal was super attentive and charming. Quaint place, food superb, friendly and clean! Don't spend 2+ hours waiting for other area locations, go here!!!!!

The cal'zone is disgusting, The pizza is good

Great staff. Restaurant was packed and we didn't have to wait too long. Bruschetta was ok, not like you get in NY, Calamari was cooked well, needed more seasoning. Good fried mushrooms . Overall a good restaurant. Would definitely recommend.

Great ny style pizza. The sauce is sweet and the caprese salad was fresh. If you like cannolis from up north, you found a true gem here.

This used to be a 'go to' place for me, but circumstances had me away for quite some time. I am happy to announce that in my absence I think the food has possibly gotten a little better. But I have had only one entree other than pizza, so I''ll have to update this in a few weeks.The pizza, by the way, was excellent. Prepared exactly, per my requests, to my tastes.We are fortunate to have a variety of at least good pizza choices in NSB. But to me this one was perfect for me.
